I actually did read the first four pages of the book and was blown away because it was so completely untruthful and libelous! The two photographers that apparently inspired the book are the furthest from “rockstars” you can get. They have long time successful businesses (not selling to photographers, but to their clients), are well trained, and produce excellent work. You are a fraud Gary if you can’t even use google to research (the names of the so-called rockstars appear at the end of the video).
Mara, you and I spoke briefly when I was running Pictage. I knew your father in my very early days. I am sure that you have a loyal clientele after your decades of thrilling clients and giving them great service that you have a relatively booming business. If you read the section carefully, I didn’t say that you were not successful, I just said that nobody in your local area had ever heard of the two of you. The thought was, if you were visibly at the top of your game in your region, bystanders would know who you were. The three famous photographers I asked didn’t know you, and I would think that we would all know of a photographer in our area that has a private Cirrus and their own pilot. My very harsh assessment of the video was that it was quite misleading with what the picture would be. A professional photographer cannot become a multimillionaire anymore.
